History
The 2019/20 season was a significant one in RKC Waalwijk's history: it was their return to the Eredivisie after four seasons outside the Dutch top flight. Unfortunately, the campaign was curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The season
RKC had won promotion from the Eerste Divisie in 2018/19, returning to the Eredivisie for the first time since relegation in 2013/14. Fred Grim remained manager for their return to the top division.
Their Eredivisie campaign began badly. They lost their opening two matches — 3–1 away to VVV-Venlo and 2–0 at home to AZ Alkmaar — before picking up their first point with a 3–3 draw at FC Twente.
RKC ultimately played 26 of the scheduled 34 league matches before the Eredivisie was abandoned in April 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic. They finished officially in 18th place, with 15 points, from four wins, three draws and 19 defeats.
Because the Dutch season was declared void with no promotion or relegation, RKC nevertheless remained in the Eredivisie for 2020/21.
Key players
Etienne Vaessen — goalkeeper The 24-year-old was RKC's first-choice goalkeeper and started 24 of their 26 league matches, playing 2,111 minutes. He was one of the most important regulars in the side.
Hannes Delcroix — centre-back The young Belgian defender, on loan from Anderlecht, was a major part of the defence. He started 23 matches, playing 2,057 minutes, and scored once.
Clint Leemans — midfielder One of the team's most productive players. He scored 4 goals and provided 3 assists in 21 league appearances. He was also RKC's joint-leading scorer.
Stijn Spierings — midfielder A key central midfielder who made 17 starts and contributed 3 goals and 3 assists.
Daan Rienstra — midfielder/captain An important experienced presence and the team's captain in the early part of the campaign. He started 20 matches.
Anas Tahiri — midfielder/forward A versatile attacking midfielder who made 23 appearances, including 14 starts, and supplied 3 assists.
Sylla Sow — forward One of RKC's main attacking threats. He scored 5 league goals, making him the team's leading scorer, ahead of Clint Leemans on 4.
The RKC Waalwijk 2019/20 Stanno Away Shirt – Player/Team Issue
Navy blue and orange Stanno away shirt worn by RKC Waalwijk during the 2019/20 Eredivisie season, featuring the Willy Naessens Industriebouw sponsor and the club's “Strijd • Passie • Trots” neck detail. The shirt retains its original Stanno size L but is actually a M measure and Made in China manufacturing labels but does not carry a conventional retail product/article code. It was acquired as a player/team-issue shirt.
That “STRIJD • PASSIE • TROTS” deliberately constructed blue neck tape is particularly significant. It isn't generic Stanno branding; it is RKC's club motto. RKC itself currently describes “Strijd, Passie en Trots” as part of the club identity, and contemporary 2019/20 material also identifies this as RKC's motto.

Returns
You have 7 days from delivery to request a return. The shirt must come back unworn and in the same condition it was sent, with all tags intact. Return postage is paid by the buyer. Once the shirt is received and checked, we refund the full purchase price. We do not accept refunds or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect sizing. These shirts are vintage, aged and normally used, so they will almost always show some degree of wear. Each listing carries a condition grade out of ten and any notable fault is called out in the description. Sizing on older shirts differs from modern sizing — always go by the pit-to-pit and length measurements listed, not the size on the label.
