History
The 2016/17 season was Carlo Ancelotti's first and only full season as Bayern Munich manager. Bayern won the Bundesliga, finishing 15 points clear of RB Leipzig, and also won the DFL-Supercup. They were knocked out by Borussia Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal semi-final and by Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Bayern were particularly prolific in the Bundesliga, scoring 89 goals. Robert Lewandowski finished as the club's leading scorer with 30 Bundesliga goals and 43 in all competitions.
