History
The 2005/06 home shirt is a particularly nostalgic Real Madrid kit because it represents the final season of the original Galácticos era. It was the shirt worn by Zidane in his final season, while Ronaldo, Beckham, Raúl and Roberto Carlos were still at the club.
Unfortunately for Madrid, the shirt wasn't associated with a trophy-winning season.
They finished 2nd in LaLiga, 12 points behind Barcelona, reached the Copa del Reysemi-finals, and were eliminated by Arsenal in the Champions League round of 16.
The 2005/06 home shirt is among the most nostalgic Galácticosshirts because of what it represents:

David Beckham — No. 23 The iconic right-sided midfielder and set-piece specialist. He was a central figure of the Galácticos era and one of the most recognisable players associated with this particular shirt.
Raúl — No. 7 Club captain and one of Madrid's greatest-ever goalscorers. He remained a key figure as the original Galácticos era came to an end.
Roberto Carlos — No. 3 One of the defining left-backs in football history. His explosive runs and famous free kicks made him another unmistakable part of this era.
Robinho — No. 10 Signed in 2005 from Santos and represented the beginning of the next generation. He ultimately spent four seasons at Madrid and won two La Liga titles.
Sergio Ramos — No. 4 A particularly interesting name for collectors. Ramos joined Madrid in 2005 from Sevilla, meaning the 2005/06 shirt was his first season atthe club. He would eventually become captain and one of Madrid's greatest defenders.
