History
For C.F. Torelló, 2021/22 was a promotion season and one of the more significant campaigns in the club's modern history. The club founded in 1917 finished second in its regional group, built its success on a strong defence, and edged out Sant Pol by a single point to return to Primera Catalana. They finished 2nd in Segona Catalana Grup 6 and earned promotion to Primera Catalana. The club itself dates back to 1917.
Torelló finished behind Caldes de Montbui, who won the group with 69 points, but comfortably ahead of Atlètic Sant Pol on 61.
This was essentially a promotion campaign. Torelló were among the leading teams throughout the season and were particularly strong defensively, conceding only 32 goals in 30 matches. They also recorded 12 clean sheets.
Key players
Adrià Torrejón — Goalkeeper
Probably the most important player in terms of reliability and minutes.
He was the clear first-choice goalkeeper and a major reason Torelló had one of the best defensive records in the group.
Amine Rammou — Forward
Rammou was the leading goalscorer, finishing the season with 10 goals according to the season player data.
His goals were particularly valuable in a side that wasn't built around huge attacking numbers—the team scored 59 across the campaign.
Adam El Amrani — Defender
Another important defensive contributor.
He made 17 appearances, including 14 starts, and accumulated 512 minutes.
Omar Pérez — Midfielder
Pérez was one of the team's major workhorses. The season database lists him as Torelló's most-used outfield player, with 2,548 minutes.
That makes him particularly significant when looking beyond the headline goal scorers.
Frederic "Fredi" Juanes Jiménez
Fredi was another important attacking player. He had 2,141 minutes and scored 10 goals, putting him alongside Rammou as one of Torelló's principal attacking threats.
