History
The Italy national team in 2014 was coached by Cesare Prandelli and entered the year as one of Europe's established major football nations. The highlight was the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, although the tournament ended disappointingly with Italy eliminated in the group stage.

They opened with an impressive 2–1 victory over England in Manaus, with Claudio Marchisio and Mario Balotelli scoring. Italy then lost 1–0 to Costa Rica, leaving qualification in doubt.
In their final group match against Uruguay, Italy lost 1–0, with Luis Suárez's famous biting incident involving Giorgio Chiellini becoming one of the tournament's most remembered moments. Uruguay's late goal eliminated Italy.
Italy therefore finished third in Group D and failed to reach the knockout stages.

Gianluigi Buffon — GK, Juventus Captain and one of the defining Italian goalkeepers of his generation. He was 36 at the 2014 World Cup.
Andrea Pirlo — CM, Juventus The team's principal playmaker and one of its most recognisable players. His passing and control remained central to Italy's midfield.

Condition and sizing
These shirts are vintage, aged and normally used, so they will almost always show some degree of wear. Each listing carries a condition grade out of ten and any notable fault is called out in the description. Sizing on older shirts differs from modern sizing — always go by the pit-to-pit and length measurements listed, not the size on the label.
