History
The 2014/15 period was an important stage in the development of the U.S. men's national team under Jürgen Klinsmann. The major event was the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, where the USA were drawn into Group G with Germany, Portugal and Ghana.
The USA finished second in the group after beating Ghana 2–1, drawing 2–2 with Portugal and losing 1–0 to Germany. They then faced Belgium in the Round of 16, losing 2–1 after extra time.
The 2014 World Cup squad included a mixture of established American stars and younger players who would become important over the following years.
Key players
Clint Dempsey — Captain / Forward
The captain and one of the country's biggest stars. Dempsey scored after only 29 seconds against Ghana, one of the fastest goals in World Cup history at the time. He finished the tournament with two goals.
Tim Howard — Goalkeeper
The experienced Everton goalkeeper was one of the defining figures of the tournament. He made a remarkable 16 saves against Belgium in the Round of 16, a World Cup record for a single match at the time.
Michael Bradley — Midfielder
The central midfielder was one of Klinsmann's most important players and started all four World Cup matches. He wore number 4.
Jermaine Jones — Midfielder
A key defensive midfielder who scored the spectacular equaliser against Portugal from outside the box. His energy and defensive work were central to the team's midfield.
Jozy Altidore — Striker
The main centre-forward going into the tournament. He was injured early against Ghana, limiting his World Cup contribution.
Matt Besler — Centre-back
A regular starter at the heart of the defence and one of the USA's most consistent defenders during the tournament.
DaMarcus Beasley — Left-back
The veteran defender started all four matches and brought enormous international experience.
Fabian Johnson — Full-back
The German-American defender was an important attacking outlet from right-back and started three of the four matches.
DeAndre Yedlin — Full-back
One of the breakthrough young players. The Seattle Sounders youngster made an impression with his pace after coming on during the World Cup.
The 2014/15 "Bomb Pop" Away Shirt
The official Nike USA 2014 World Cup Away shirt was released in April 2014. Nike deliberately used the colours of the American flag in large blocks: royal blue across the upper body, white through the middle and red across the lower body and sleeves.
It quickly acquired the nickname "Bomb Pop", because the red-white-and-blue colour blocking resembled the famous American red, white and blue ice pop. Contemporary American soccer coverage used the nickname almost immediately.
Nike also incorporated a small 13-stripe pennant inside the back of the neck, representing the original thirteen colonies.
The shirt became closely associated with the USA's 2014 World Cup campaign. It was worn during the team's run to the Round of 16 and became one of the more recognisable U.S. national-team shirts of the 2010s. Contemporary coverage even noted that the shirt had sold out in many places before the World Cup.

And the shirt’s construction is consistent with Nike’s 2014 Dri-FIT USMNT range. The contemporary 2014 Nike USA shirts used recycled polyester, Dri-FIT and technical ventilation/mesh construction.

You have 7 days from delivery to request a return. The shirt must come back unworn and in the same condition it was sent, with all tags intact. Return postage is paid by the buyer.
