The 2022/23 season was another successful campaign for Real Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti. Celebrating the club's 120th anniversary, Madrid added several major trophies to their history, including the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and Copa del Rey.
Real Madrid finished second in La Liga with 78 points, behind champions Barcelona. Karim Benzema led the team's scoring in the league with 19 goals, while Vinícius Júnior continued to establish himself as one of the world's most exciting attacking players.
As defending champions, Real Madrid progressed through the group stage and produced memorable knockout performances. They defeated Liverpool 6–2 on aggregate in the round of 16 and overwhelmed Chelsea 4–0 on aggregate in the quarter-finals. Their European campaign ended in the semi-finals against Manchester City, who won 5–1 on aggregate.
Madrid won their 20th Copa del Rey, defeating Osasuna 2–1 in the final. Rodrygo scored both goals, securing another major trophy for Ancelotti's side.
Real Madrid began the season by beating Eintracht Frankfurt 2–0 to win the UEFA Super Cup. In February 2023, they claimed their fifth FIFA Club World Cup title, defeating Al Hilal 5–3 in an entertaining final. These victories made the 2022/23 campaign a significant year in the club's history.
Karim Benzema
The captain and leading scorer was central to Madrid's attacking play. He scored 31 goals in all competitions during the season and won the Ballon d'Or in October 2022 in recognition of his outstanding previous campaign.
Vinícius Júnior
The Brazilian winger was one of Madrid's most dangerous attacking players, combining pace, dribbling and creativity. He scored important goals in domestic and international competitions, including the Club World Cup final.
Luka Modrić
The experienced Croatian midfielder continued to dictate the tempo with his exceptional passing, movement and composure. His influence remained vital in Madrid's pursuit of silverware.
Toni Kroos
A key figure in midfield, Kroos provided control, accurate distribution and experience throughout another trophy-winning season.
Federico Valverde
The Uruguayan midfielder offered energy, versatility and powerful attacking runs. He also scored twice in the Club World Cup final against Al Hilal.
Rodrygo
The Brazilian forward delivered decisive moments throughout the campaign, most notably scoring both goals in the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna.
Thibaut Courtois
Madrid's first-choice goalkeeper continued to produce important saves and commanding performances, helping the team compete for major honours.
Éder Militão
A powerful and athletic centre-back who played an important defensive role, contributing to Madrid's domestic and European campaigns.
The Real Madrid 2022/23 home shirt was manufactured by Adidas to celebrate the club's 120th anniversary. It combines Madrid's traditional white with subtle light-purple detailing on the three shoulder stripes and collar, creating a classic design with modern touches.
The shirt features a buttoned polo collar, while a commemorative 120 años detail inside the collar honours the club's history. A repeated Real Madrid crest is embossed into the white fabric, giving the shirt a distinctive tonal pattern that is visible without overpowering its traditional appearance.
The fan version features Adidas AEROREADY technology, designed to absorb moisture and help keep the wearer comfortable. The shirt was also made using recycled materials as part of Adidas's sustainability programme.
Worn during a season in which Real Madrid lifted three major trophies, including the Copa del Rey and FIFA Club World Cup, this home shirt represents a special anniversary campaign. Its understated purple details, commemorative collar and tonal crest make it a distinctive addition to any collection of modern Real Madrid shirts.

Every shirt is inspected by hand before it is listed. Only shirts that pass are photographed, graded and added to the Vault. If a shirt is not an authentic original, we do not sell it.
These shirts are vintage, aged and normally used, so they will almost always show some degree of wear. Each listing carries a condition grade out of ten and any notable fault is called out in the description. Sizing on older shirts differs from modern sizing — always go by the pit-to-pit and length measurements listed, not the size on the label.
Why this shirt costs what it costs
A reproduction and an original can look identical in a listing photo. Drag the slider to see the difference, and what we checked on this exact shirt before it was listed.
Three steps, every single time. No shortcuts, no exceptions.
Step one
We track down originals across Europe: private collectors, club sales, and the people who were actually there.
Step two
Construction, neck and wash labels, stitching, sponsor application and product code, all checked by hand against period-correct examples.
Step three
Photographed in detail, graded out of ten with full measurements, then shipped worldwide tracked and insured from Spain, with reduced rates on more than one shirt.
Go by the flat measurements in the description, not the size on the label. Sizing on older shirts is nothing like modern sizing. Lay a shirt you already own flat, measure pit to pit and length, and compare. Not sure? Send us the listing and we will tell you honestly.
