History
Real Madrid's 2022/23 season brought domestic cup and international success under Carlo Ancelotti. The club finished second in La Liga, won the Copa del Rey by beating Osasuna 2–1 in the final, and lifted the FIFA Club World Cup. In the Champions League, Madrid reached the semi-finals after memorable knockout victories over Liverpool and Chelsea before losing to Manchester City. It was also Karim Benzema's final season at the club, bringing an end to a remarkable period in Madrid.
Key Players
Karim Benzema: The French striker led the attack with his intelligent movement, link-up play and finishing, scoring 31 goals in all competitions during the season.
Vinícius Júnior: The Brazilian winger was a major attacking threat, using his pace and dribbling to trouble defenders and scoring 23 goals in all competitions.

The Shirt
Adidas designed Real Madrid's 2022/23 third shirt in black with striking lime-yellow details on the V-neck, shoulder stripes and Emirates sponsor. Its subtle all-over pattern takes inspiration from the metallic lines of the redesigned Santiago Bernabéu roof, giving the shirt a modern architectural theme.
The shirt was worn during a season that brought the Copa del Rey and Club World Cup to Madrid. Its distinctive black-and-lime colour combination makes it stand apart from the club's traditional white home kit and gives it particular appeal to collectors of modern Real Madrid shirts.
