The 2007/08 season was an important campaign for Olympique de Marseille. After finishing runners-up in Ligue 1 the previous season, Marseille had ambitions of challenging again at the top of French football and competing on the European stage.
A difficult start led to Albert Emon being replaced by Belgian manager Éric Gerets in September 2007. Gerets helped turn the season around, guiding Marseille to an impressive third-place finish in Ligue 1 with 62 points and qualification for the following season's Champions League.
Marseille also enjoyed a memorable Champions League campaign, recording a famous 1–0 victory away to Liverpool at Anfield, courtesy of Mathieu Valbuena's superb goal. They ultimately finished third in their group and moved into the UEFA Cup, where their European journey ended against Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Round of 16.
Mamadou Niang was Marseille's leading scorer with 23 goals in all competitions, closely followed by Djibril Cissé with 22. Samir Nasri provided creativity and quality in midfield, while Mathieu Valbuena became a fan favourite following his memorable winner at Anfield. Captain Lorik Cana, goalkeeper Steve Mandanda and left-back Taye Taiwo were also important figures in the side.
This striking Adidas third shirt is one of the most distinctive Marseille designs of the 2000s. Moving away from the club's traditional white and blue, it features a bold orange base with sky-blue detailing on the collar, sleeve cuffs and Adidas shoulder stripes.
The standout feature is the sweeping curved graphic across the front, combining orange and sky blue to create a dynamic, contemporary design. The Neuf Telecom sponsor completes the look, while the Adidas branding and Marseille crest give the shirt its unmistakable identity.
Designed for Marseille's 2007/08 campaign, the third shirt was associated with the club's European commitments, including the Champions League and UEFA Cup. Its unusual colour combination and distinctive graphic make it a particularly memorable example of Adidas' experimental football-shirt designs from this era.

Every shirt is inspected by hand before it is listed. We check construction, neck and wash labels, stitching, sponsor and badge application, and the manufacturer product code against period-correct examples. Only shirts that pass are photographed, graded and added to the Vault. If a shirt is not an authentic original, we do not sell it.
These shirts are vintage, aged and normally used, so they will almost always show some degree of wear. Each listing carries a condition grade out of ten and any notable fault is called out in the description. Sizing on older shirts differs from modern sizing — always go by the pit-to-pit and length measurements listed, not the size on the label.
Why this shirt costs what it costs
A reproduction and an original can look identical in a listing photo. Drag the slider to see the difference, and what we checked on this exact shirt before it was listed.
Three steps, every single time. No shortcuts, no exceptions.
Step one
We track down originals across Europe: private collectors, club sales, and the people who were actually there.
Step two
Construction, neck and wash labels, stitching, sponsor application and product code, all checked by hand against period-correct examples.
Step three
Photographed in detail, graded out of ten with full measurements, then shipped worldwide tracked and insured from Spain, with reduced rates on more than one shirt.
Go by the flat measurements in the description, not the size on the label. Sizing on older shirts is nothing like modern sizing. Lay a shirt you already own flat, measure pit to pit and length, and compare. Not sure? Send us the listing and we will tell you honestly.

Every shirt is an authentic original from its season, found and checked by hand before it is listed. Stock is limited and often a single piece, so when one sells it is usually gone for good.
