HISTORY
2025 was a historic season for Inter Miami. Under new head coach Javier Mascherano, the club won its first-ever MLS Cup, after also winning the Eastern Conference Championship. They finished third in the Eastern Conference in the regular season before going through the playoffs.
The season was particularly notable for the amount of football Miami played. They appeared in 58 matches across all competitions, an MLS record, and scored 129 goals across those matches.

At the Club World Cup, Miami made history by becoming the first Concacaf team to defeat European opposition in the competition, beating Porto 2–1. They subsequently became the first MLS club to reach the knockout stage of the Club World Cup.
KEY PLAYERS
Lionel Messi
The outstanding attacking figure. Messi scored 29 MLS regular-season goals, won the 2025 MLS Golden Boot, and recorded 48 regular-season goal contributions. He then added six goals and nine assists during the MLS Cup playoffs and was named MLS Cup MVP. Across all competitions, he finished with 43 goals and 31 assists in 49 appearances.
Luis Suárez
A major contributor alongside Messi, finishing 2025 with 17 goals and 17 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions.
Sergio Busquets
The midfield organiser remained hugely important, making 56 appearances, more than any other Inter Miami player in 2025, and providing 13 assists.
Jordi Alba
A key attacking outlet from left-back. He made 52 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing 23 assists.
Tadeo Allende
One of Miami's important attacking additions. He finished the year with 24 goals in 54 appearances, including nine goals during the postseason.
Telasco Segovia
A significant contributor in midfield, making 55 appearances and finishing with 15 goals and six assists.
Rodrigo De Paul
Arriving during the summer, the Argentine midfielder became an important part of the team and finished with seven assists and two goals in 23 appearances.
