History
France entered the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar as the reigning world champions, having lifted the trophy in 2018. Under manager Didier Deschamps and captain Hugo Lloris, Les Bleus progressed through the knockout stages to reach a second consecutive World Cup final.
