Chelsea’s 2016/17 season became one of the most memorable campaigns in the club’s history. Under new manager Antonio Conte, the Blues recovered from a difficult start by switching to a 3-4-3 formation, which helped transform their performances. Chelsea went on a remarkable 13-match winning run and secured the Premier League title with 93 points, recording a then-record 30 league victories. They also reached the FA Cup final, narrowly losing to Arsenal.
The title-winning side combined defensive organisation with attacking quality. Conte’s tactical approach brought the best out of players such as Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, N’Golo Kanté and the wing-backs Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses. Kanté was named Premier League Player of the Season, while Costa finished as Chelsea’s leading league goalscorer with 20 goals.
Eden Hazard – The Belgian forward was a central figure in Chelsea’s title-winning campaign, using his dribbling, creativity and goalscoring ability to unlock opposition defences.
Diego Costa – Chelsea’s leading Premier League scorer with 20 goals, Costa provided physicality, intensity and decisive finishing throughout the season.
N’Golo Kanté – The tireless midfielder was instrumental in Chelsea’s success and was named Premier League Player of the Season after another outstanding campaign.
Marcos Alonso – Deployed as a left wing-back, Alonso contributed important goals and attacking width while fitting perfectly into Conte’s system.
John Terry – The long-serving club captain featured in his final season at Chelsea, bringing leadership and experience as the club secured another league title.
This Chelsea home shirt from the 2016/17 season was manufactured by Adidas and is associated with Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge of the Blues. The traditional Chelsea blue design represents a landmark season in which the club returned to the top of English football after finishing 10th the previous year.
The shirt formed part of the kit worn during Chelsea’s record-breaking Premier League campaign. Its association with the title-winning team makes it a memorable piece for supporters, particularly those who remember the transformation brought about by Conte’s tactical switch and the extraordinary run of 13 consecutive league victories.
The 2016/17 campaign also marked the final season of John Terry’s playing career at Chelsea, adding another historical detail to this era of the club. With stars such as Hazard, Costa and Kanté at the heart of the side, this shirt recalls a team that combined individual brilliance with an effective and disciplined system.
This example is rated 8/10 and remains a great option for collectors of Chelsea shirts from the club’s Premier League-winning years. Please note the peeling sponsor logo and loose hem stitching, which are reflected in the condition rating.

Every shirt is inspected by hand before it is listed. Only shirts that pass are photographed, graded and added to the Vault. If a shirt is not an authentic original, we do not sell it.
These shirts are vintage, aged and normally used, so they will almost always show some degree of wear. Each listing carries a condition grade out of ten and any notable fault is called out in the description. Sizing on older shirts differs from modern sizing — always go by the pit-to-pit and length measurements listed, not the size on the label.
Why this shirt costs what it costs
A reproduction and an original can look identical in a listing photo. Drag the slider to see the difference, and what we checked on this exact shirt before it was listed.
Three steps, every single time. No shortcuts, no exceptions.
Step one
We track down originals across Europe: private collectors, club sales, and the people who were actually there.
Step two
Construction, neck and wash labels, stitching, sponsor application and product code, all checked by hand against period-correct examples.
Step three
Photographed in detail, graded out of ten with full measurements, then shipped worldwide tracked and insured from Spain, with reduced rates on more than one shirt.
Go by the flat measurements in the description, not the size on the label. Sizing on older shirts is nothing like modern sizing. Lay a shirt you already own flat, measure pit to pit and length, and compare. Not sure? Send us the listing and we will tell you honestly.
