History
Beşiktaş entered the 2023/24 season aiming to challenge for honours in Turkish football and compete in Europe. The Istanbul club finished sixth in the Süper Lig, winning 16 of their 38 league matches. The campaign proved challenging, with managerial changes during the season, including the departure of Şenol Güneş in September and Fernando Santos in April. Despite the difficulties, Beşiktaş won the Turkish Cup, defeating Trabzonspor 3–2 in the final in May 2024. The cup triumph provided a memorable conclusion to a turbulent campaign.
