History
Barcelona Sporting Club entered 2024 looking to add to its proud history as one of Ecuador’s most successful football clubs. Based in Guayaquil, the club is known affectionately as El Ídolo del Astillero and enjoys one of the country’s largest and most passionate fanbases. During the 2024 season, Barcelona competed in Ecuador’s LigaPro and the Copa Libertadores, facing leading clubs from across South America. The year also marked 99 years since the club’s foundation in 1925, making the season a significant milestone ahead of its centenary celebrations in 2025.
Key Players
Damián Díaz – The Argentine-born Ecuadorian playmaker was a major figure in Barcelona’s modern history and a fan favourite for his creativity and technical ability.

This Barcelona SC home shirt by Ecuadorian sportswear manufacturer Marathon features the club’s unmistakable bright-yellow base, complemented by red and orange graphic patterning across the shoulders and sleeves. The black V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs create a sharp contrast, while the full-colour club crest sits proudly on the chest alongside the sponsor branding. The design also includes a special circular detail on the upper back commemorating the club’s 99th anniversary. Returns
You have 7 days from delivery to request a return. The shirt must come back unworn and in the same condition it was sent, with all tags intact. Return postage is paid by the buyer. Once the shirt is received and checked, we refund the full purchase price. We do not accept refunds or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect sizing.
